It’s taken me a long time to make and post another beaded project. I miss it so much! I like creating beautiful things! This took me a long time and was a difficult project. I didn’t realize what the difficulty rating on this one until I took the photo below. This bracelet is worth all the hours I spent on it. It reminds me of an Egyptian bracelet from the movie “The Mummy” with a scarab-looking medallion. I think you will agree that this is a spectacular bracelet! One of my favorite projects so far in my history of making beaded jewelry!
This is a pattern designed by Theodora Seimeni called “Crowned Empress Bracelet”. This project required A LOT of beads as you can see from the photo, a list of about 13 different kinds of beads. I didn’t have the pearls that are shown here so I eliminated it, which made it look more Egyptian, just the way I like. Adding pearls would’ve been more heavy and more likely to break off. I also made the clasp into a magnetic clasp instead of what the designer had in mind. If I can put magnets on all my jewelry, I would. They are so easy to get on and off.
Look at the materials list! It was so long! It made me faint but I trudged on.
My beading tray had a mess of beads, several I didn’t end up using. I usually ask my son to clean up the tray by putting the beads back to the right bags. I mean, I have to PAY him to put it back, nothing is for free. When the boys were little, I can ask them to do this for coins, now it’s dollars only.
At one point while I was making this, I thought I should stop after making this medallion and use it as a pendant instead. I didn’t want to finish the bracelet because it seemed like there was more work. I’m glad I finished it because now it looked far more superior than I had imagined.
Ta-da!!! The finished bracelet!!! Isn’t that awesome?! The worst part is stitching the medallion to stay in place on that bracelet. It kept getting all crooked.
The backside had a lot of weaving. The cream colored beads in the back mixed with blues are my favorite part. Those are a combination of colors that I like to wear in clothes.
This is one of those pieces that looked awesome when it is worn! I can’t believe how beautiful it looked on my wrist! I LOVE IT!!! There are probably 5-6 different shades of blue here. I had no idea the colors would turn out this way. It all just came together so nicely.
So beautiful, you have to see it AGAIN on my wrist! I have a really small wrist so I often have to make my own bracelets.
That’s it for me today! I hope you enjoyed looking at my beaded bracelet! I am already looking at another beaded project to start.
This is beautiful!

Marvellous! It’s a statement piece in itself. If I could make jewelry like this, I’d pass them on to my grandkids.

That’s what I’m hoping to do. I hope they last too! The silver is not real silver and will probably tarnish.

Will be a shame if such a beautiful thing gets rusty. Do you keep your jewelry in individual boxes? The ones with soft padding on the inside will probably be best for these beauties.

I have a beaded bracelet given to me by a friend in 2005. It’s not gold or silver, just some plastic beads strung on a cotton thread. But my friend made it, so I still have it and cherish it. Your bracelets will be special even 100 years later, your labour of love is worth the safekeeping.

Thank you. It must seem like I do when I do beading. I’m not usually patient at all.
