Bible Verse John 8:12

Today this bible verse really comforts me with all the troubling things going on in the world. I don’t know about you but I worry about the world where my children and grandchildren will grow up in. I fear that God will be forgotten and morality dissipating. I have spent many days worrying and praying for my country and our world. Today, in my Bible reading I came upon this verse, John 8:12.

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness,  but will have the light of life”.

I interpret this verse as meaning that don’t worry about what’s going on out there, you just keep an eye on me. I will protect you.

We don’t know what the world will become but for my part, I am doing everything I can to encourage my boys to stay close to God through prayers, Bible reading, and going to church. When I leave this world I want to make sure my boys and their children are prepared to receive God’s instructions for their lives.  Having a close relationship with God is a good chance that they will be protected.

I am thankful I found this verse today and be able to share with you. I also want to take this moment to share the pretty flowers God has blessed me with this past week. Enjoy!

Burr Francine “Roseglow” Orchid

My first blooming orchid! She’s a beauty and not the typical orchids they sell at the local shops. Each day a new bud opens. There must be about 20 of them on these branches. In the background is my new tabletop Christmas tree that I haven’t had time to decorate since Saturday.

“General Sikorski” Clematis

“Plum Perfect” Roses

Tecoma Stans

I’m not sure which one of the tecoma stans this is but I rarely order orange- colored plants. The company I bought from shipped me the wrong one for sure. It’s growing on me with its unusual flower shape.

My poor puppy

That’s all the beauties today. Have a fantastic week!
