This past week when I was dealing with some difficult people, I prayed to God. He reminded me of these bible verses for finding peace within myself and be at peace with the people who caused the unhappiness.
Matthew 5:11-12
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:44 (King James Version)
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 6:14
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you,
Luke 14:11
For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted
