Lily trees are a wonderful delight to my garden this year. I planted these in the fall of last year and now they are about 4 feet tall with beautiful blooms. They started blooming around end of May and last about 4-5 days. They have a delightful fragrance that I cannot get enough of. I have not fertilized them but just watering it every 2-3 days in this Southern California heat. It seems to be very low maintenance. They are expected to get taller each year reaching up to 8 feet. The varieties I have here were purchased from one of Breck’s lily tree collections. The purple is probably Purple Prince, the white is Pretty Woman, and the yellow is Conca ‘Or.
